All I can say is I wish that Julian was the vampire loving me! This book was a perfect blend of paranormal, fast action and romance. A side of vampire I’m not used to seeing. Beautiful. Medeiros captured the true feelings that Julian and Portia shared for each other. A love created to save a life. A lifeĀ returned from the love given. To me it had that Buffy/Angel thing going on. I would definately recommend this book and I’m headed out to find more books written by Teresa Medieros!
This is the sequel to “After Midnight” which introduced the sisters Caroline, Vivienne and Portia Cabot. I haven’t read “After Midnight” yet. So I must confess that I have brokenĀ a WM Commandant. Thou shall not read a story out of sequence. In my defense I have but one thing to say, “The book was on sale! I couldn’t help it!”
So to all my WM sisters please forgive the wrongs that I have done. I’ll never do it again. Unless of course the book is on sale. ![]()

I do it all the time, of course if the book is really good, I go back and read the series in order.
Have a great weekend.

I’m the same way Ann is. Of course if I find out the book is in a series before I read it, I’ll wait until I can get the first books before I read it. But that’s just me.

Okay my TBB list and my TBR pile are just going to get larger. I love the Angel/Buffy picture.
