A mighty thought in progress

I’ve been thinking. I know that’s a very dangerous thing to do without supervision…but I was did just the same. I work for a company that specializes in keeping us healthy as we go down that road to degradation, towards the off ramp of getting older. I look around the office to see woman coming in who look as if they just grabbed their high school diploma on the way to the job interview.

In our society, this is how we’ve been made to feel inadequate to our younger counter parts. WELL NO MORE I TELL YOU!! We can’t stop aging but we can stop the aging process. I’ve decided I’m not going to age. I will not go into the dark night without a fight.

I live in the hub of healthy, the realm of free range, and the great grander of the green grocer. Oh and living side by side  of the hippie-top of the hippiest people in NC. Free to be, free to live and live free of anything and all things harmful to my body.

Chanting…I will take advantage of my environment. I will drive past Burger King (No matter how good those charbroiled burgers smell). I will not frown when offered a cool glass of water instead of a strawberry daiquiri, and as God is my witness, I shall order my mocha latte skinny, half-and-half, with NO whip cream.

Okay, so that’s my thought for today. So today I’m living, eating and thinking healthy. We’ll see what happens tomorrow. I mean, I don’t wanna rush into anything.

BTW, I don’t care how cute they are. I will never, ever, never wear Crocs. I don’t care how many cute, adorable colors they come in. J

Gettin’ off my butt

Ok, so I finally got off my butt and did some work on one of my other stories. I decided to get back to work on my blog as well. After all what’s the use in having one if you’re not blogging? I’m hoping it will start my creative juices a flow.

On my journey to becoming a romance writer, I recently learned the difference between a romantic novel and an erotic novel. A lesson learned while reading a lovely story about two vampire brothers who fall for a vampire slayer. Hey it’s about vampires! It drew me in like a moth to a flame. So I started reading…good looking vamp enters…uh uh…heroine enters…uh uh…sexual attraction first encounter. BINGO! I’VE GOT ACTION! Great story. Then enters the other brother. That’s when things turn a little different. The things that I learned about this character made me blush.

That didn’t stop me from reading it though. It did like the story, but I think I may have jumped into it before I was ready. So for now I think I’ll stay on the sidewalk of romance and out of the street of erotic boulevard. tee hee

Blood RedBlood Red by Sharon Page.  A rollercoaster ride of sexual, sensual passion, erotism and yes a love story. Check it out. It opened my eyes!

My heart will go on.

My mind tells me to give up, but my heart won’t let me. I’ve passed the point of no return. I have typed over 32,000 words in my main story. I have no choice but to keep going. It’s been a long hard road with a lot of bright spots. With the inspiration and support of the Writeminded group members, I have to believe this can be done. With a pen in my hand and ink in my blood my writer’s heart will go on. *g*
